"BIG. HECKIN. TREES." -RAY
I met Ray at a photographers workshop back in August 2021. We quickly became each others "exit buddies" and stayed in contact after the workshop. Ray has always been extremely encouraging and a big cheerleader to me. She has always had the most encouraging words to say and I could honestly talk about any topic with her for HOURS. She is quite literally a "ray" of sunshine.
So, needless to say when she came to me and asked me to photographer her elopement I was GEEKIN. I felt so honored she wanted me to be there to capture it as well as one of our other friends we bonded with, Cheyenne. It was like a friend reunion! How fun.
At first, Ray considered going over seas for her wedding but ultimately decided she wanted to be among "those big hecking trees" and Joshua loves the beach. So we planned to go west and meet in Brookings, Oregon. Early morning head for Jedediah Redwood Forest for her ceremony, take a nap after lunch, and head out to secret beach for sunset photos. These two are freaking rock stars. They got ready out of their Jeep wrangler with a Redwood forest all to themselves! Shout out youtube for helping us get Josh's tie tied!! Also, can we talk about how EPIC Ray looks in her wedding dress taking a photo Josh during their first look?!
If you haven't seen the Redwoods you HAVE to put it on your bucket list. There is just nothing out there like these trees. They are MASSIVE!!
Ray & Josh's ceremony was so beautiful and I cried so much HA! These two are perfect for each other and love one another so deeply. They share such a pure love that radiates everywhere they go.
